TIN CURA

I'm currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I'm a graphic designer and this blog is where I tend to overshare my design work, travels, and life in between. I love doing branding and identity. When I’m not doing any graphic design, I spend my time with my husband traveling, sleeping or finishing a 3 season series on Netflix in 2 days. Sometimes I also like to cook.

  • 18 Hours in Bangkok

What if you only have 18 hours in Bangkok? What will you do?

All the way from our Bali trip last January, me and Ralph decided to take a flight with a long layover to Bangkok before going back to Dubai.

    Here’s our complete itinerary:

7 Pm: Arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport. 1 hour queue in Immigration. Grabbed our pocket wifi which we booked from Klook. (This was super handy! Most specially if you’re DIY-ing a trip and trying to look for directions on your own: Google Maps is your best friend.) Then we took a cab from the airport. The driver doesn’t speak English at all. We felt powerless but just went with the flow and trusted him. We basically just showed him the address on my phone and the photo of the hotel while we also help him via Google Maps! Gladly, just after an hour, we reached our hotel.

  • Catching up with the Bride to Be + DIY Wedding Invites

Gladz is literally my first friend when I first set foot here in the sandpit 5 years ago. She was my roommate and the only person who taught me how to cook adobo. I can still remember those days when we were just sharing a double deck bed  in a 3 bedroom apartment where i think 20 people lives. It was during that time when I was welcomed to the reality of adulthood, what OFW life is like and how to live on your own. We were happy just having a 5 dirham shawarma every night for dinner. Well, those were the days. Look how far we’ve come now. She’s now getting married and I finally got my own apartment!

  • My blog is back!

…but some of the posts were not.

It’s been a while! This website has been on hiatus since I can’t even remember when. For some very weird reason, I deleted everything and I didn’t have any backup. So basically mostly all of my posts from the past few years were gone with the wind. I managed to revive some. It’s very sad but I don’t have the time to sulk and cry on it. It’s the new year and I’m blogging from the beautiful island of BALI so I don’t have time to complain at all. I’ve never been this tanned and happy! All I know is I will try my very best to blog more this year! I will try to share some snippets of my design and travel adventures so stay tuned!

  • On Being 28 and Grateful.

Wait I’m 28? How come? I can’t still fathom how I’m 2 years away from being 30. It’s a strange feeling knowing I’m getting older since I swear every year for the last 10 years I don’t feel like I aged one bit haha. And yes I know with this new age comes a lot of responsibility. Here’s ...

  • O Canada: 15 Must-See Places for a First-timer in Toronto

2 months ago, I took a break from work to visit my family in Canada. It was a very nice trip since it’s long and visiting my family means i get a chance to taste my mother’s home cooked food (e.g sinaing na tulingan, tambakol, crispy pata and the list goes on). Also, during my trip the weather is starting to cool down so I could really go visit some places.
